GiraffePress latest London print bureau to install Roland’s VersaUV LEC-540 printer/cutter

Lambeth-based GiraffePress is holding an official ribbon cutting ceremony this Friday to celebrate the installation of its new Roland VersaUV LEC-540 printer/cutter.  The celebration will be officiated by Lambeth Mayor, Councillor Mark Bennett, who will symbolically cut the ribbon at 2pm.

Says Jason Pavlou, Managing Director of GiraffePress: “We are very excited about the installation of our new LEC-540 as this incredibly versatile machine means we can meet the growing demands of our customers for ever more creative, exciting and engaging applications. Plus it means we can print onto a greater range of materials, including more environmentally friendly substrates, meaning we can avoid vinyls and inks containing solvents."

Part of the world’s first UV inkjet printer/cutter series, Roland’s award-winning VersaUV LEC-540 provides design agencies, repro houses, printers and brand owners with an outstanding and versatile printing, label and packaging solution. The LEC series can print CMYK plus white and clear inks for varnishing and embossing effects directly onto a wide range of substrates including metallic and synthetic papers, foils, BOPP, PE, PET film, plus offset printing, rotogravure stock; then crease, contour kiss-cut or contour die-cut designs, all in a single pass.

Says Gillian Montanaro, Head of Marketing, Roland DG UK: “Choosing the LEC-540 will help GiraffePress to greatly enhance their product offering. The LEC’s versatility and extensive range of high quality, profitable applications is its key advantage. With this one UV machine, GiraffePress will be able to print and cut everything from packaging prototypes, labels, signs and banners, to 3D and textured prints, on-demand and with the highest quality results.”
