A 'first class' line-up of speakers and content has been confirmed for the Jet Set conference, set to land at FESPA 2013 London for the first time at the Excel centre in London between 25th and 29th June 2013.
The seminars will take place every day of the five day show offering a variety of insightful presentations for print service providers (PSPs) to explore the wider opportunities of print and grow their businesses. The sessions are free of charge and will present key topics for todayâs PSP to explore in order to grow their business including: sustainability, digital textile printing, digital printing, business building skills and industrial screen printing.
The Jet Set conference held in partnership with Gold Sponsor AEG Professional Printers, Silver Sponsor Hollanders and media partners ESMA and PrintFuture will be located on FESPAâs show floor on stand B75N in the north hall of the ExCeL.
The âFESPA Flight Briefingâ will kick-off proceedings on day one, where FESPAâs Head of Membership, Chris Smith will discuss FESPAâs Profit for Purpose programme and how FESPA reinvests back into its global printing community. Visitors will hear from the FESPA Slovakia, Turkey and UK associations during the âAssociation Showcaseâ where they will speak about their work which is enabled by FESPA project funding.
The Sustainability conference takes place from 14h00 on day one, discussing topics such as compliance, carbon footprint calculators and how businesses can become more environmentally efficient. Key confirmed seminars include Independent Technical Advisor, Rachel Butler who will look at new regulations and accessible means of implementation, including business case study examples. Another session visitors wonât want to miss is âhow to make sustainability work for your businessâ where Paul Noble, Operations Director at Banner Box will speak from experience about how his organisation successfully integrated sustainable practices whilst continuing to grow, develop and invest in the business.
Digital textile printing is the focus of day twoâs Jet Set conference line-up. Seminars will look at the opportunities in digital textile printing, sublimation vs. direct-to-garment, printing for fashion, and will also take a glimpse into the textile printing industry of tomorrow. This is a key session to attend for PSPâs hoping to add digital textile printing to their service offering.
Tim Greene, Wide Format Director at Infotrends kicks off the third day of the conference discussing digital print. He leads the proceedings discussing FESPAâs World Wide Survey findings and key trends in digital printing. After lunch Andrew Hodson, Sales & Marketing Director at Icon-world will explain how they manage supply, quality control and logistics to deliver some of the worldâs biggest events, drawing on experience from the London 2012 Olympics last summer.
From 15h30 on day three, the FESPA Awards will take over the conference room where the winners of the screen, digital textile and industrial categories will be announced. Funded by FESPAâs Profit for Purpose reinvestment programme, the awards celebrate innovative and exceptional work created by printers from around the world. The competition is only open to FESPA association members, however, the Industrial category welcomes entries from non FESPA members. Printers can enter the awards until the 20 May 2013.
The Business Building Skills conference commences on day four where Jacky Hobson, Director of Marketing at Up Marketing will start the day looking at cross media marketing and how printers need to understand and embrace social media in business. Nick Devine, Founder, The PrintCoach will also take to the stage to discuss how printers can get the most from their sales teams in order to develop more new businesses opportunities. Nick will look at the most effective process for hiring talented salespeople as well as how to use a âjob outcome matrixâ to engage employees to develop successful new business strategies.
On the final day of the conference leaders from the screen printing community will come together. Chaired by Peter Buttiens, ESMA CEO, speakers will discuss topics such as printed electronics, printing for glass and plastics. Tim Claypole, Professor & Centre Director at WCPC, Swansea University will begin by looking at the industrial print industry and the opportunities it provides PSPs. David Parker, MacDermid Autotype will discuss industrial print for plastics.
