Sign Africa reports successful roadshow event

On the 15th of February, Sign Africa held a very successful one-day roadshow - sponsored by Avery Dennison and Roland - at the Emnotweni Arena in Nelspruit. The roadshow comprised of a showcase of products for the sign, display, digital graphics and wide-format industries. It offered the opportunity for more than 250 visitors to see equipment which can add value to their businesses.

Charnia Yapp, organiser of Sign Africa said “Nelpruit has been identified as one of the premium roadshow destinations for 2012 and is regarded as a hub of business activity amongst visitors travelling from nearby towns and bordering countries such as Mozambique and Swaziland.”

Live demonstrations of the vast array of equipment on display offered potential customers the opportunity to understand the capability and quality that these machines offer.  Midcomp had the AnaJet Garment Printing System on display which is easy to install and operate and functions like ordinary computer printers. This printer enables users to print t-shirts, tank tops, mouse pads, photos and more in just minutes and a video was shown to demonstrate how easy the machine is to operate.

The roadshow was also utilised as a platform for the introduction of new solutions. Sytech Supplies showcased its new Super J-Star ink, Konica Minolta introduced the new Photo-PRESS photobook solution and Bytes Document Solutions displayed the newly-launched Xerox 700i Digital press.

At every expo during the roadshow, exhibition spaces are judged according to criteria based on layout and design, staff friendliness and professionalism.

Stand winners and runners up are as follows:

  • Best Large Stand Winner: Xerox
  • Best Large Stand Runner up: Midcomp
  • Best Small Stand Winner: Falcon

“We are looking forward to our forthcoming roadshows and networking with our valuable clientele”, concludes Yapp.
