printMAX Discovery Days prove a hit

With the promise of enlightening visitors of the various - and in some cases unique - print applications possible with a Roland, printMAX had no problem in driving up visitor numbers and overall interest in the concept.

June 12th-14th saw printMAX teaming up with Roland to host a three day nationwide event, encouraging visitors to not only take an active interest in the Roland technology but also to educate on how it might benefit a business.

The choice to hold a ‘Discovery Day’ rather than a run of the mill open day was an obvious call for printMAX's managing director, Michael Bolton. “Our business is all about giving our customers the best start with their Roland printer, whether that’s at the beginning of a start-up company or as a sizeable investment from an existing customer. The advice and support each customer receives is always at the highest level and the Discovery Days were simply an extension of this, offering personal advice and opinions alongside the technical and expert knowledge that Roland provides.”

Each day began with a short introduction from Roland focusing on the range of printers before moving on to the various ways the printer can be used and the vast range of products that can be printed with each range. Printers covering the entire Roland product range were available for demonstration, from the new desktop printer BN-20 (the introductory piece of equipment and one of Roland’s latest releases) to the LEJ-640 (the most advanced printer offered as part of the VersaUV range). Along with the printMAX team, Roland representatives were also on hand to offer their own personal advice on the various printers and how best to maximise their use.

Responses to the Discovery Days were positive.  Andy Hermon visited the third and final day event hosted at the Aldershot Roland showroom and commented, “thanks to printMAX at the Discovery Day in Aldershot, I found the information useful and great food for thought. It has certainly broadened my horizons with new ideas on my next purchase.“

Whilst visitors took a lot away from the Discovery Days, the benefits for printMAX were seen immediately.  printMAX's sales manager, Chris Martin, added, “The initial response has been fantastic, with on-the-day enquiries already transforming into sales and future leads. Whilst these days were not sales driven, we are already seeing the rewards of offering that extra bit of advice that the visitor may not have received elsewhere.”

With some exciting summer offers to be announced later in the month, printMAX hopes to continue to ‘exceed expectations’ and continue its reign as Roland’s most successful authorised dealer.
