Practical Publishing, the organiser of Sign Africa Expo, has announced that Roland DG South Africa has been confirmed as its Platinum sponsor for the 2013 Sign Africa Expo. This is the sixth year that Roland has sponsored the event and its continued support signals the company's commitment to a long-term association with Africaâs leading sign, display and digital graphics event.
The Expo - which is being staged in South Africa between 21st and 23rd August 2013 in Johannesburgâs state-of-the-art Sandton Convention Centre - has become well-known internationally as a gateway into Africa and receives excellent support from visitors from all over the continent and further afield. Last year, over 5850 visitors attended, and more local and international delegates are expected to visit in 2013 as Practical Publishing launches marketing campaigns aimed at attracting overseas visitors.
Sign Africa is the ideal platform for Roland to showcase the variety of solutions it offers the Graphics Arts and Design industries, which include its innovative range of wide-format inkjet printers, vinyl cutters, thermal transfer printer/cutters, 3D scanners, milling devices and engravers.
Each year, a highlight of the event is Rolandâs popular Speed-Wrap Challenge. Held in conjuction with Avery Dennison, the crowd-puller sees visitors flock to watch contestants racing against the clock to wrap a vehicle door, or an entire vehicle, in a bid to be crowned the ultimate wrap-off champion.
'In line with Rolandâs vision, Sign Africa has consistently improved its value proposition to the industry, encouraged diversity and fostered innovation, creating a vibrant, exciting and challenging environment for us all,â says Bob Glenister, the CEO of Telpro Management which distributes Roland products in South Africa. âThe Expo creates an environment where we can inspire others with our creative solutions and ignite the market's imagination â" and it is this synergistic symbiosis that has encouraged us to join hands with Sign Africa again.â
Practical Publishingâs Dyelan Copeland adds, âWe are extremely proud to have a leading international brand such as Roland on board as a sponsor and believe this further enhances Sign Africaâs reputation as the leading expo in Africa.â
