The FESPA Wrap Rally II made its grand arrival at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via on the evening of Friday 17th 2012, at the end of a 2,400 kilometre whirlwind tour of Europe en route to this yearâs FESPA Digital 2012 show.
The FESPA Wrap Rally motorhome was decorated using the winning design chosen by FESPAâs Facebook followers. The European tour covered 11 cities in four countries, visiting seven companies, interviewing seven print service providers and meeting four FESPA Associations in only seven days.
The Wrap Rally motorhome was wrapped by Master Wrapping in Hemel Hempstead. The wrap was created using substrate provided by Hexis and printed on a HP DesignJet LX25500 using 50m vinyl.
On the road to Barcelona, the Wrap Rally team spoke to experts in 3D printing, and printers producing applications from direct mail to printed interiors, including Symeta, HP, Comptoir de l'image, Gobet Product, ATC Group, Hexis and Cunicode.
The Wrap Rally was piloted by an intrepid team of FESPA âadventure road warriorsâ consisting of new media assistant Rob Older, corporate commercial manager Chris Rimer and events and online marketing assistant Richard Kensett.
Chief Wrap Rally Pilot Rob Older comments, âThe FESPA Wrap Rally team have packed so much adventure into the past seven days and the support we have received from our online community has been overwhelmingly positive. We have spoken to a whole host of interesting European printers who have given us fascinating insight into how their business has successfully explored wider opportunities of digital print, and we look forward to learning so much more at FESPA Digital, now we have finally arrived in Barcelona!â
Video footage and highlights of the Wrap Rally adventure, including video interviews, photographs and blogs exploring the wider opportunities of print with printers is available to view at www.fespawraprally.com.
