Roland DG announces wide format 'Roland Rental' programme

Roland DG UK has announced a wide format machine rental programme designed to enable SMEs, start-ups and businesses to move into wide format technology by renting a Roland printer or printer/cutter for a one, two or three year period, without the need for up-front investment or financing. Some of Roland’s most popular machines, including the market-leading VersaCAMM SP-i and new VS-i series of printer/cutters and the VersaART RE-640 printer are available to rent, alongside the recently launched VersaUV LEF-20.

Roland DG advises that customers investigate purchasing or leasing a printer from one of their network of Authorised Dealers as a first port of call. However, if a customer is struggling to secure finance or is not yet ready to commit to purchasing a device, the rental scheme provides an alternative option.

Says James Johnson, Business Manager, RolandCare and Roland Rentals, “The new Roland Rental programme has been designed for those SMEs, start-ups and other businesses looking to ‘dip their toes’ into the wide format sector, or for those who may, for various reasons, have difficulty securing a loan to purchase capital equipment. It is also ideal for those who may require additional short-term wide format capacity or companies that desperately want to diversify, but are currently unable to commit to up-front capital expenditure or investment.

“Joining the Roland Rental programme is as straight forward as choosing the right machine for the business’s needs, signing up for a one, two or three year rental contract, paying a three month deposit up front and preparing the business for wide format success,” says Johnson. “The Roland Rental package includes everything a company needs to get started immediately as well as support the business throughout the entire rental period, including a full set of 220ml Roland inks, delivery and installation, a RolandCare Silver warranty for the life of the rental, VersaWorks RIP software with free updates and a place on a digital print course at the Roland DG Academy. A Roland DG Authorised Dealer will be recommended for the ongoing purchase of inks and media.

James Johnson concludes, “At Roland, we are consistently trying to find new ways to work with customers to ensure they can take advantage of all our wide format technology has to offer.  This programme could open up a whole world of new possibilities for many smaller, ambitious businesses and we are looking forward to introducing the many benefits of Roland’s technology to them.”
