Nazdar announces plans for FESPA 2013 including debut of new ink sets

Specialist ink manufacturer Nazdar has announced its plans for FESPA 2013.  The company will be on stand E55S and will demonstrate products from across its expansive range of digital and screen printing solutions.

Hot on the heels of its recently launched ‘Ink Emergency’ campaign for the UV ink sector, Nazdar will be launching Nazdar 517 and 518 series ink sets for the super-wide market at FESPA.  These Digital Inks have been designed to meet the technological requirements of a broader range of print heads and are the latest additions to Nazdar’s ever-expanding range of products.

Nazdar 517 series

Nazdar 517 series inks have been designed for exceptional performance on Xaar 128/126/Proton 35pl, Spectra Galaxy/Nova 128, Seiko 510 35pl and Konica Minolta 42pl print heads.

Key features include enhanced colour options that include standard C M Y K LC LM and additional Red Shade Magenta, Red Shade Light Magenta and Vivid Yellow. These variants enable the user to optimise the red area of the colour gamut.

Nazdar 518 series

Nazdar 518 series inks have been designed for exceptional performance on Spectra Skywalker, Spectra Polaris (solvent compatible) and Konica Minolta 14pl print heads.

The formulation has been optimised to specifically target the high resolution/low droplet size market.

On the introduction of the new inks, Martin Burns, digital market segment manager â€" EMEA & ASPAC at Nazdar, comments, “We continually strive to develop new and improved ink products to ensure we stay competitive and have a comprehensive product range to thrive in today’s digital market.  These new inks fit neatly into our strategy.”

Other ink sets to be shown on Nazdar’s stand will include:

Nazdar Hydrocolor inks

Nazdar Hydrocolor inks are zero VOC, environmentally friendly and represent a true alternative to solvent, UV and Latex ink technologies.  They are ideal for both traditional graphics and industrial print applications and have an extra wide colour gamut and vibrancy.  When printed onto standard outdoor stable media, the resulting output can be displayed outside without the need for a top coat or lamination.

These qualities will be demonstrated on-stand by Nazdar’s partner QPS.  QPS has combined a Roland Versa Art 640HC printer with Nazdar’s Hydrocolor ink technology to enable the environmentally friendly printing of wallpaper and other substrates.  This revolutionary printer has been developed by combining an exclusively modified, state of the art, wide format piezo inkjet print engine - utilising the latest Epson DX7 printheads - and Nazdar’s water based ink suitable for both internal and external applications.

Nazdar 2000 series

Nazdar 2000 series Digital Imaging inks are designed as a cost effective low odour alternative eco-type ink for use in Roland RS, SJ, SP, SC, VP, VS and EX series printers, including Pro II and Pro III, currently using Roland Eco Max inks.

They are colour-matched to the original inks, avoiding the need for colour profiling in most cases and cartridges are compatible with Eco Max inks.  Nazdar series 2000 inks offer excellent exterior performance with proven resistance to the effects of UV degradation and colour fading.

Nazdar is bringing this series of inks â€"which is just one of many within the digital ink range â€" to FESPA as an example of the colour-compatible alternative inks solutions that the company has for the wide format sector.  The company also offers quality alternative inks for other manufacturers including Mutoh, Mimaki, Seiko and HP.

Nazdar 55 Color Separation inks

Nazdar 55 Color Separation Series Digital Imaging Inks are dye-based black inkjet inks for use in Epson print head technology digital printers.  The purpose built inks are engineered for producing screen print film positives at much higher Ortho and UV densities that the standard pigmented photo inks.

Key benefits include a high intensity black with a high UV density value for maximum UV light absorption and wider exposure latitude on screen exposure units. Recommended for use with ULANO film positive products, the inks enable printers to print at higher speeds compared to using pigment inks and have lower running costs through the use of no-colour ink cartridges in the other channels.
