EFI has acquired the assets of privately held printLEADER, a Florida-based provider of print MIS (management information systems) software products for the printing industry.
While financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, the acquisition is not expected to be material to EFIâs Q2 or full-year 2013 results.
âWe are very pleased to have printLEADER join the EFI family and our expanding portfolio of business automation technologies,â said Marc Olin, senior vice president and general manager of EFI Productivity Software (EPS). âWe also welcome printLEADERâs customers to our global client base. They will see additional opportunities through the combination of EFIâs and printLEADERâs technical innovations.â
John Fleming, founder/president of printLEADER, comments, âOur customers need to remain extremely competitive in todayâs 24x7 world. After 25 years the timing is right to join EFI, a leader in our market that produces outstanding software solutions, so we can offer our loyal customers a more robust and feature rich-suite of software products and high-value, web to print storefront solutions.â
printLEADERâs MIS products will become integrated into EFIâs PrintSmith⢠Vision product line, part of EFIâs EPS group. EFI will also continue to support the existing printLEADER client base, which consists of more than 800 commercial and in-plant printing operations across North America.
EFI, which is the worldâs leading provider of print management and workflow software, will continue to sell its existing EPS product lines, which includes EFI PrintSmith⢠Vision as well as EFI Paceâ¢, EFI Monarch⢠and EFI Radius software products.
