SMGG installs Epson SureColor SC-S30600 wide format printer at FASTSIGNS Crawley

FASTSIGNS Crawley has been serving businesses in Crawley, Gatwick Airport, Reigate and the surrounding areas with solutions to meet all their sign and display needs since 1995.  With five in-house employees, the company has a particular expertise in vinyl graphics and is committed to providing local businesses with effective sign and graphic solutions â€" regardless of the size of the project.

At the beginning of 2012, FASTSIGNS Crawley started to look at wide format printing solutions to replace its aging solvent printer.  In order to get a solid overview of all the products available in the market, Raj Vithlani, director at FASTSIGNS Crawley, attended the Sign & Digital UK 2012 show.

At the event, he met with a number of businesses including Stanford Marsh Group Graphics (SMGG), the commercial graphics division of Stanford Marsh Group.  Founded in 1965, the Stanford Marsh Group has five offices throughout the UK and is headquartered in Worcester.  With an annual turnover of more than £10million, the company believes it is the only company in the UK that can provide in-house, manufacturer-led, service support, hardware and software sales of all the leading market brands.

After speaking with Steve Guest from Stanford Marsh during and after the show - and after much deliberation - FASTSIGNS Crawley opted for the Epson SureColor SC-S30600 wide format printer.  The 64-inch, 4-colour, indoor and outdoor signage printer is easy to use and has a low total cost of ownership and low environmental impact.

Raj explains, “We looked at a number of different printers whilst we were at the show, but the Epson SureColor SC-S30600 offered the best fit for our business requirements and was better value for money than the other solutions we looked at.”

The printer was installed in September 2012 by members of SMGG’s technical team and the process was seamless.  The old printer was collected by SMGG as the new one was delivered and there was no interruption in FASTSIGNS Crawley’s output production.

FASTSIGNS Crawley is running Epson original inks and is using Digital Factory RIP software. The RIP software enables the company to run any number of printers or cutters simultaneously, whilst keeping costs down and the workflow up.

On the selection of SMGG as the supplier of the printer, Raj comments, “Stanford Marsh was not actually on FASTSIGNS’ recommended supplier list at that time, but we liked what they could offer us and decided to purchase the solution through them.  We were very pleased with the installation process and would recommend the company to other businesses looking to upgrade their wide format print solutions.”

Steve Guest concludes, “We were delighted to supply Raj at FASTSIGNS Crawley.  The company’s brand and quality of service is well known within the print industry and we were happy to be able to meet and fulfil Raj’s requirements.  We look forward to a long-standing professional relationship with the business.”
