Available this month through Fujifilm, the S20i can print on both flexible and rigid substrates at speeds up to 310sqm an hour on a bed size of 3.14m x 1.6m.
Featuring 26 Fujifilm Dimatix printheads per colour, the new machine features a 15-zone vacuum table that is claimed to reduce bed-masking requirements for substrates thinner than 3mm.
According to the manufacturer, this feature reduces set-up times and increases overall machine productivity.
Designed for applications such as display Point-Of-Sale, exhibition graphics, displays and outdoor graphics, Fujifilm has high hopes for the latest addition to the Onset range.
Fujifilm Speciality Ink Systems marketing manager Tudor Morgan said: "The new features on the S40i have been very well received, so we look forward to being able to take them into this machine as well."
Another new addition is an auto-sensor system that monitors the machine's condition and informs the operator when automatic cleaning is required, while mechanical substrate height detectors aim to improve accuracy and enhance substrate and printhead protection.
Customers can also specify the new machine with Inca's optional flexible automation system that gives users the choice to operate the machine manually or semi-automated.
Inca Digital director of marketing Heather Kendle said that the new Inca Onset S20i integrates the enhancements first seen in the Onset S40i to deliver "increased productivity and print consistency".
She added: "We develop and introduce software and hardware enhancements and options to improve the functionality of the Onset models.
"Features added to the new Onset S20i provide users with increased flexibility and help to ensure the fastest possible ROI."
Last month Inca Digital officially opened its new headquarters, which doubled the large-format flatbed digital printer manufacturer's production capacity and reaffirmed its commitment to UK manufacturing.
