Your Print Specialists (YPS) is anticipating a 'vibrant' 2014 with the major expansion of its dedicated wide-format print demonstration suite. The suite now includes the Mimaki JV400 SUV as well as a CJV30 print-and-cut engine with both white and silver inks. From the Canon range, YPS adds the versatile imagePROGRAF iPF6400S and iPF8400S aqueous machines for high-resolution indoor applications.
Authorised Mimaki reseller YPS will champion the virtues of the manufacturer's SUV chemistry this year, which combines the flexibility associated with solvent-based machines with the durability of UV-curable. Available in 1.3 and 1.6m widths and with a maximum print speed of 18.1sq m/hr, the SUV series features a 3-Way Intelligent Heater, which eliminates drying time. Not only is all output available to finish, laminate or apply immediately, but it also retains a smooth, glossy appearance with excellent colour vibrancy.
The Mimaki CJV30 series' arrival at YPS 'heralds the extended options' it now offers to sign and graphics producers. Its vast array of applications, from point-of-sale to backlit displays and vehicle graphics, is now augmented by the addition of white and silver inks, creating luscious, high-margin print for both indoor and outdoor work. At widths of 0.6, 1.0, 1.3 and 1.6m, this solvent or eco-solvent machine's cutting options include full contour cutting â" vital for intricate vehicle decoration work â" and half-cutting for stickers and labels.
Also in situ at YPS's demo suite are the Canon imagePROGRAF iPF6400S and iPF8400S. The eight-colour machines, printing at widths of A1 and B0 (24 and 44") respectively, are suited to interior applications such as proofing, posters and canvas, and incorporate an on-board densitometer, hot-swap ink tanks for uninterrupted production and a 250GB hard disc to spool and cache complex jobs with ease.
"After a bullish 2013, which included the sale of the first JFX500-2131 flat-bed in the UK, we are particularly excited to be bringing these machines to users in the North East of England for the first time," comments Garry Brown, managing director of YPS. "While our demo suite gives future owners the chance to be hands-on with the latest emergent technologies before they invest, it also means we can train them to ensure fast return on investment, which is crucial in the modern business age."
