Roland DG is the latest company to announce its withdrawal from Ipex 2014, scheduled to take place at Londonâs ExCel centre from 26th March until 2nd April 2014. The company says its decision not to attend is as 'a result of a re-focusing of its sales and marketing initiatives to ensure it is best placed to meet the changing needs of its markets in the short to medium term.'
Jerry Davies, managing director, at Roland DG (UK) says, âWe have witnessed a number of shifts in the marketing landscape over the last couple of years and, as such, we believe our customers are now best served by changing some of the ways in which we communicate with them. Rolandâs primary aim is to listen to its customer base and react accordingly. Customers now want more personalised, localised and immediate ways to learn and interact with the brand and its products and we are working hard to deliver that.
âWe have rolled out a number of specific initiatives over the last couple of years aimed at getting closer to each customer and understanding their individual needs. Our online Roland Forum, Creative Centre, Roland Academy, Open Days, social media activities and the work we undertake with our Authorised Dealers and Partners have all been very successful and we look forward to announcing some additional exciting new initiatives over the coming months.
âIt is with all this in mind that Roland DG has made the decision to withdraw from Ipex 2014 and further diversify its communication channels by focusing on the country and industry-specific needs of all its market sectors,â concludes Mr Davies.
