Hollywood Monster 'braces' itself for charity event

A leading West Midlands signs and graphics company is making an appeal to the public to volunteer and help them produce 7,500 bracelets for the Harry Moseley ‘Help Harry Help Others’ appeal.

Hollywood Monster, based in Tyseley, Birmingham, is seeking help in a bid to raise over £20,000 from the sale of the bracelets.  The event is being called ‘Selfless Saturday’ and will take place at the company's Tyseley factory from 10’oclock on Saturday 28th April.  People interested in volunteering should register their interest by emailing tim.andrews@hollywoodmonster.co.uk

Hollywood Monster has invited several celebrities along, including some from the world of sport to help volunteers get through the day. There will also be face painters, music, and a presentation at 10am explaining all about the charity.

Tim Andrews, managing director of Hollywood Monster, comments, “We already have a large number of volunteers from our staff and their families, but we certainly need more. You don’t need to be an expert to take part. Making 7,500 bracelets is going to be fun, exciting, challenging and I know we can do it.”

The bracelets will be sold at many community events including the Walk for Harry on 13th May 2012. Standard bracelets will be sold for £1 each where all proceeds will go to the Harry Moseley Appeal. Special bracelets will cost £5 or a special offer of 3 for £10 with proceeds divided between the Acorns Children’s Hospice and Cancer Research.

Tim adds, “Our aim is to ensure that through the charity, money goes to cancer research, the acorns hospice and to families who themselves may have a member of their family or a friend suffering from cancer and are in need financial support at a very difficult time.”
